As part of its contribution to shaping the urban scene and strengthening the urban identity of the capital, Asaleeb Plus was honoured to design the Squares of the Kings and Imams for the city of Riyadh, within a project set on turning the squares into urban landmarks that reflect the history of the city and its cultural values.
The designs rest on an architectural language drawn from Saudi heritage and restated in a contemporary vision that joins authenticity to modernity, through ornamental elements, natural materials and architectural detail that give each square its own visual character, while keeping it integrated with the surrounding urban environment.
The project embodies the Asaleeb Plus approach to designing urban landmarks that pass beyond the aesthetic to become part of the identity of the place, enriching the visual scene and making an urban experience that reflects the standing of the city of Riyadh and its future ambitions.
